We returned to The Crown, Catfield for the second time.
We booked a double room on a bed and breakfast basis, although as notified on booking no cooked breakfast would be provided. Having said that there was ample tea and coffee, cereal, fresh bread for toast and a toaster, fresh friut juice, fresh milk and plenty of bottled water, more than enough to start the day on a full stomach.
The room is basic but very comfortble with T.v, kettle and fridge.
Plenty of safe off road parking over night and great that dogs are welcome to stay too.
We had a lovely meal on Friday night -(thanks for taking the garlic out of the mushrooms as requested by me due to my allergy) and we were made to feel like one of the locals by the landlady, her husband the chef and the locals.
We would recommend this pub for drinks, meals and accomodation to friends and family and we look forward to our next visit.
Many thanks Pauline and Nando...see you soon hopefully for some more garlic less garlic mushrooms!!
