Absolutely first-rate. The food was excellent, the portions very generous and the service superb. Fantastic value for money and the staff were all very welcoming. The only problem was the menu....there were too many choices! Never mind, that just means we'll have to go back again.

The Bell Inn what a pub. We found the Bell Inn by accident while on a short break in Suffolk. Middleton is in a beautiful village, and the Bell in with it's thatched roof just makes the village. The Landlord of the Bell Inn is very friendly, and once you have meet him he makes you think you have known him all your life. We went to this pub on a very busy Saturday evening, when really we should have booked a table to eat. The landlord went out of his way to squeeze us in to have a meal . What a meal we had, it was excellent. The next night a Sunday we could not find anywhere to eat in Suffolk, so we phoned the Bell Inn to see if there was any tables to eat there again. One again the landlord was very accommodating and found a table for us. On the menu there was plenty of choice, and one again the food was A1.We only wish we lived nearer to The Bell Inn so we could go there again and again. We really do recommend this pub to everyone.

Feedback from our guests staying at The Roost B&B, Middleton, it is THE place to have your evening meal. Other establishments locally are excellent but The Bell in Middleton seems to be just ahead in hospitality and quality.

There is always a very friendly welcome at this beautiful thatched, traditionally-styled pub at the heart of the village of Middleton, with reputedly the best pint of Adnams bitter to be served in Suffolk - fine praise from someone who has drunk a lot of it over the years!!. The robust menu, with several vegetarian options, suits any occasion and the various themed Friday night cosmopolitan food offerings adds extra variety. It is ideally located for the various attractions of the Suffolk coastal area, from Southwold, Dunwich, RSPB Minsmere, snap Maltings and Aldeburgh. All in all well worth a visit - or two!
