Upon arrival, barman was full of smiles and was very welcoming. We ordered some ales and wine, both of which were excellent. The traditional ale in particular was like heaven in a glass. Food was very good, just ordered sandwiches but were very filling, tasty and garnished very generously. Got quite a surprise when paying the bill as I'm used to extortionate London prices and it all seemed very cheap for the quality and quantity we received. In summary, a fine, traditional country pub with a great atmosphere and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend. *****

Clean and comfortable decor, nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Very good food, not the cheapest but you definitely get your moneys worth(prepare to loosen your belt if you have the moules). Beer garden at rear, family friendly, would definitely recommend.
