We were staying overnight locally & were looking for a cosy pub to have a meal. From the outside Brewers Wharf looked just the job. However our meal was atrocious. We ordered skewers of grilled king prawns for starters. We received skewers of warm prawns that had been defrosted presumably in a microwave, but they definately hadn't been anywhere near a grill. For main course I ordered beef enchilladas, which were described as " smothered in cheese sauce". These arrived looking very anaemic, with a little bit of over microwaved cheese on top - no sign of cheese sauce. I actually could not eat this dish. The tortillas were just like soggy raw pastry, again, I am fairly confident these had been frozen & " zapped" in a microwave. I eventually had chilli & rice which whilst not notable, was at least edible. This pub offers 2 for 1 on all main meals. That should not be an excuse to serve up poor quality frozen meals.Price paid is irrelevant, food should still be edible .

The meal was 2nd rate, no choice of meat on the Sunday Roast at 2.10 & the service was atrocious. This was very disappointing as it was a special occassion for us, we have been numerous times and have always gave high praise, but it will be a long time before we come again, if at all.
