Stopped off for a welcome break on the way to London to find a friendly atmosphere, coal fire, reasonable prices and good home cooked food ... even home cooked chips!!! Steak pie to die for ..... highly recommended!

The food is exeptional. chips are proper homemade chips. Steak was done just how i asked for it. The menu is extensive. Great value for money. Staff are really polite and helpful and nothing is to much trouble. I loved the log fire, it gave a good atmosphere.
