Quite simply the best pub / pub food in the region. Staff are great: polite & courteous - nothing seems any trouble. Food is excellent and very reasonably priced, wide range of drinks, good pool table, yet the place still retains the feel of a traditional English pub.
About as good as it gets :)

We have just tried the three course sunday lunch,a bargain at under eleven quid.Everything was cooked to perfection,combine this with friendly helpful staff, and the place is a winner. Roll on sunday.

Richard & Sarah Thank you both for your hospitality plus your good food and really good ales. It was a bonus to run into the Leavening Branch of the "City Supporters Club" (sorry Richard)I can and will fully recommend your pub at each and every opportunity. We shall return !!
