For the last 4 years we have been coming back to the Button Mill. Always very good food and a nice relaxing family atmosphere. Today how ever was an experience I do not wish to have again... We were directed to a table for 5 in the window. The dark haired waitress came to take our drinks order. Not once during the course of the meal did we here please or thank you from her. She talked over us and our conversation when taking a food order... When our food arrived we were asked did we want any sauces but had to answer to her retreating back as she was walking away while we spoke. Obviously wanting to be anywhere but serving and doing her job. My 14 year old got brought his Curry which was slammed down on the table sending his garlic bread flying through the banister behind him. By this stage I had had enough.. We agreed to finish as fast we could so we could get out of there... My husband then goes to pay the bill. A lovely polite blonde waitress got our order and proceeded to run it through the till. The very rude waitress who had caused our visit to be so unpleasant proceeded to start an argument with her about it been her job and how dare she do it. All the while, us the paying customer had to wait while she argued openly in the bar. What a shame and a waste. What is a lovely bar and restaurant, is now a place I will avoid and advise friends and family to go else where.. Such a disappointment.....
