Could not possibly have been made more welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners or their staff. Rooms were very spacious and well furnished with the biggest bathrooms of any hotel I've ever stayed in. The food and drink is absolutely first class and the mixed grill has to be seen to be believed. We will most definitely stay here again.

Absolutely first class and superb value for money. Clean rooms with comfortable beds, excellent location and friendly, smiling staff who bent over backwards to help us. The food was also excellent with a wide selection to cater for all tastes. Will certainly return in the future.

The first thing that immediately struck me about the Red Lion when I first arrived was the warm welcome and genuine friendly and relaxed atmosphere inside. To say Mike, his wife and team work extremely hard at looking after their guests is an understatement. Desipite being a new visitor to the Inn I was referred to by my first name from then on, which is pretty impressive when you think how many guests come and go. My husband loved the local beer and food helpings which were very generous and tasty. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The area is wonderful for walking and cycling, it's a beautiful part of the country. We will definitely be visiting again soon. Karen and Gordon.
