Who is the baldy guy with the specs who insists he's THE chef? Food was good but not as good as before this clown joined

Would never go there again. Short staffed, they did not seem to get much of a break. was in there all evening and felt sorry for them. Food ok, typical bar food, service good, although poor girl run off her feet but she did the best she could and gave us good service.

Just had a wonderful lunch with family members, had the consideration to call in advance and book a table, the staff could not have been nicer, great menu and reasonably priced food, staff attentive without being "in your face" the place was busy which I think is the sign of a good pub/restaurant. I will definitly be back and am happy to reccomend the Gardenhall to all and sundry. Top marks to the Gardenhall 10 out of 10.

Hi My wife and went in for a meal on Friday evening about 6pm. The place wasn't busy and the server said you can have any table. We chose one at the side but when my wife went to sit down the seat was ripped, so we moved over to another. The server asked what we'd like to drink - I asked for a low alcohol lager, we haven't got any I was told. We've got Beck's blue label. I said I'd have one of those, by the way isn't becks a low alcohol lager ? No it's zero alcohol!!! Not a very good start. After our drinks order was in another member of staff came up and said, this table's reserved. My wife replied well there's no sign -oh yes there is -look away down at the other end facing the other way. Do you have other tables free I asked - aye there's one in that far corner. The place was still practically empty so we decided that the attitude of the staff was the reason and left. They can drink my 'zero' alcohol lager and 1/2 pint guinness and eat and pay for our food themselves.

I do enjoy the occasional night at the gardenhall where the food is good and reasonably priced, particularly on a Monday night where I regularly participate in the hostile atmosphere of the famous quizz and bingo night with a top class host.

Don't get me wrong it was cheap, but you get what you pay for and the Sunday Roast beef was so tough and chewy I could still have been eating it at Christmas. Shocking service, the staff were rude. It had been sometime since we'd been and we thought we'd give it a go.....won't ever go back. Avoid at all costs.

For a long time local residents have felt this public house has not catered for the local neibourhood where we can meet for a social chat with friends. Due to "Live Entertainment" Friday till Monday, we have to congrigate in the small public bar, which has a Pool Table and very little else (Very Very Basic and noisy. Tonight was Monday (Quize Night) which started at 21.30. My friends and I were watching the World Cup in the Lounge Bar untill the Quize started. We then adjourned into the Public Bar to continue watching the football. The speaker system volune from the lounge was so loud (Bingo & Play Your Cards Right) we could not hear the football. I complained to Mr Richards the "Manager" and as well as dogs abuse from a few people sitting at the Bar with Quize Papers giving me abuse got no satisfaction. Surely you should have some choice whither you want to have a quiet drink, watching football or whatever, or playing Bingo, Quize or live music. Insidenyly, I have noticed the Lounge Bar where we normally meet is relatively empty. and the Public Bar is full on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
