We have visited many country pubs/hotels but the Wheatsheaf offered not only a nice room with fantastic restaurant facilities but a lovely friendly atmosphere. The locals really make you feel at home and the landlord and landlady could not do enough to make our stay memorable. I would recommend a weekend at the Wheatsheaf to anybody looking for a warm welcome. We will be back again for sure!

we stayed here in the guest rooms for three nights back in april. they were renovating the rooms but were more than accomodating to our needs.the food was fab...best burger we had since leaving the states! the pub is wonderful and mr & mrs flynn are boyh delightful.on the thursday they had a quiz but the bar suddenly erupted to the local male choir who come over after their weekly practice...glorious welsh singing, one of the highlights of our trip for both of us. we hope to return next year and the wheatsheaf will definitely be our 1st booking.highly recommended. phil
