This is a conference venue and not really a hotel. But largely due to a v. low occupancy level when we visited this wasn't too much of a problem. You don't get to stay in the lovely house that is shown on the website but the large concrete 1960s building. The place is difficult to find and the signage is v.poor/non-existent and impossible to see at night. The staff while helpful when asked direct questions, is there a lift? will the restaurant bar be open, etc. but they do not offer the information in the first place. Which can be frustrating when you arrive at 11:30 at night and they see you lugging a hefty suitcase upstairs and don't tell you. Or when you go down to dinner, and find the restaurant is not actually open, and the staff had known and not told you; also if there is a wedding on, neither the bar or restaurant will be open - but you have to work that out for yourselves!! Bearing in mind that Sundridge Park Hotel was a mile walk away from the road this is a bit of a problem - still the staff will gladly call you a cab. The rooms themselves are tiny, more suited to a single person attending a conference, rather than two people hoping to have a pleasant trip away, and when they were cleaned, which wasn't everyday, certainly weren't done thoroughly. On the plus side, the sportscentre was nice, and the grounds were nice. Free internet too, although this wasn't volunteered, and there is a photocopy centre, so you might be able to do lots of photocopying free, I didn't ask. The staff too, when told of the problems were sympathetic, and we managed to get the breakfast knocked off the bill, which was a hefty £19.90 a day! Also you might be able to sit in on a member of staff being interviewed by their personnel people and complaining of a lack of confidence having been off to have two children in as many years, and also how the place had changed, for the worse, since the new owners came in. But that's all part of the fun of trying to have a relaxing coffee in the public bar area, I am sure everyone appreciated what they were hearing. Overall, unless you desperately need to be in Bromley, virtually anywhere would be better than this.
