On my first visit with workmates I had a ball. Food was delicious, atmosphere lovely, service fantastic and just overall great night. I went back with my family expecting the same but was disappointed. While the service was still up to standard, the food was not. It was bland to put it bluntly.

I went to Romanos for our works outing on a friday evening, and it was superb!! first class service, and the food is to die for, only complaint is that its a little dark, a few more candles on the tables would be nice!!!

Unfortunately our dining experience at Romanos was truly memorable for the wrong reasons. The girl who took my telephone booking was very abrupt and discourteous (I very nearly called back and cancelled at this point but decided not to judge them on one individual). We were rushed to a small table and handed the scruffy menus. It is noticeable that the menu has not changed in at least 5 years. I had the sardines to start, these were awful. Both my wife and I had a chicken dish (one was called Solo Mio). Both these dishes were bland to the point of extraordinary. We left quickly and will not return.

been here many times and love the fantastic simple menu with a great bottle (or two) of Orvieto.
