A nice, cosy restaurant, with a good ambiance, adn offering good service. The standard menu and specials of the day were sufficiently varied to be intersting, but there weren't too many to make a choice difficult or to raise suspsicion that they couldn't all be cooked freshly. pesonally the squid and Thai crabcakes were excellent, as were the fish pie and the herb crusted hake, both sered with one of my favourites, spiced red cabbage. Looking around at other diners the other meals looked equally as appetising, stuffed mussels, garlic langoustine, grilled lobster wtih hollandaise, oyster stuffed fillet steak, their Posh fish & chips also looked good. The desserts were very tempting, lemon tart, excellent, the best though a marmalade bread & butter pudding witha touch of brandy, offered a fine end to the meal. WE left Phish, not stuffed, the portions didn't do that, but we definitely knew we'd eaten well. We'll be making a second and probably third visit to try their other offerings. Price-wise it was good value, comparing it to France (my base-line) it was very comparable for the product offered and style of restaurant.

Overpriced average tasting food. £14 for fish and chips, 5 scallops arranged on a plate with a bit of salad £17. First and last time I ever go there. Visit this 'restaurant' if you want to hand away your money and come away feeling hungry.
