As a celebration we decided to eat out and try somwhere new. The barman was cheerfull and friendly. we were shown to a table right in the walkway of the restaurant and asked to be moved, the waitress just grunted at us and moved us. My partner ordered Welsh Beef Steak and I ordered Steak Au Poivre. The welsh Beef Steak was dry and the Black pudding crispy and hard. We complained andwaited 2o mins for a fillet Steak, which was much better. When paying the bill we were being charged for the fillet Steak which we disagreed with and only paid for what we had originally ordered, both the waitress and the Manageress were quite rude and did not appear to want to understand why we would only pay for the original order. The setting of this Pub is lovely but I would definately not go back. At seventeen ponds per head you expect decent food cooked fresh, the vegetables were pre cooked and kept warm on show for everyone to see. Take my advice if you want a nice meal with good servicce this is definately not the place to go. |
