The weather was awful, torrential rain but we got a warm welcome. We stayed in the annexe which was super clean and warm and had a large bath. Every room has its own teddy bear, The evening menu was very varied, the staff helpful and the food, which is locally sourced ,was delicious and well presented. The breakfast was equally impressive with kippers offered as well as full English. Hay on Wye is a beautiful town and I would definitely recommend the Old Black Lion as the place to stay.
