I have been a patient with this practice since 1993. I am a Registered Operating Department Practitioner, with extensive senior management experience in the NHS and private healthcare sectors; so give a balanced view as a patient with some inside knowledge. This practice has two satellite surgeries at High Street, Newton-le-Willows and Clay Lane, Burtonwood. The main, and somewhat oversubscribed, surgery is at a relatively new purpose built surgery in Legh Street, Earlestown, therefore handy for public transport. Car parking at all three surgeries is abysmal. There are some very good GP's and staff here. GPs are: Dr Rahman - senior practitioner. One of the old school always willing to listen to patients. Sadly, will be retiring soon. Dr Lowe - straight forward old school doctor with good manner. Good GP Dr. Whittaker: Combines modern approach to old school. Listens well and is considerate and compassionate to patients' needs and feelings. Highly recommended. Dr. Osbourne. Very good, modern all-rounder, adopting and hollistic approach to patient-focused care. Of his own inniatative, he held some extremely helpful sessions for diabetics involving education, self help and peer support. Highly recommended. Dr. Smith: Traditional old-school practitioner. Very open minded and experienced. Lots of time for patients. Don't know of any patient who does not like this lovely, sympathetic professional. Highly recommended. Practice Nurses; Janet, Anita and Bev all cery experienced, friendly and professional. Highly recommended. Hope the above has been usefull to you. JR.
