Phoned to ask for a registration form, told couldn't be emailed & to come down in opening hours. Went down at lunchtime, 13:45 to be told come back after 2, girls are at lunch. It cannot be beyond someone's organisational skills to stagger lunch breaks. Would not even bother if all teeth fell out. public service not.

I came for my appointment in april and found reception to be very helpful. They answered all my questions regarding dentistry as i'm a very nervous patient and was made to feel very welcome. I was told by Reception that as from 1 April 2008 Adelstone Dental Care has been sold to a corporate company, Integrated Dental Holdings and there will be a lot of changes in coming months. I was told that reception would be improved, staff changes and dentists leaving. Reading some of the comments on earlier appointments I would assume that this new corparte company will impress on the staff about treatment of patients and will stop some of these comments.

I visited the surgry for an annual check up and it was suggested I consider having a bridge fitted for the price of £900. Recently I recommended I friend to the surgery who made an appointment, while sitting in the waiting area he noticed an NHS price list on the wall which clearly stated Bridge work would be £194.00. As an NHS patient this price was not quoted to me. I called and spoke to the receptionist whose reply was "the dentist's don't do NHS treatment"!! when asked why the price list was on the wall she said "because we are a registered NHS dentist"!! I find this very misleading, either the surgery is registered for NHS work or is not !!!!!

Please be advised that we have undergone some administration changes within the last 6 months. There is now only 1 receptionist on duty at all times and does not have time to call all patients to remind of appoitments. Due to the NHS changes in dentistry we are trying to meet all patients needs and comments are gratefully appreciated. We are still accepting new NHS patients and you are more than welcome to come and visit the practice before registration.

On 4 separate occasions I have visited this dentist and been told that I have come at the wrong time or date. It happened again today and for the 4th time my appointment card did not tally with their register. You do not receive an apology when this happens, quite the opposite. I have even sat in the waiting room listening to the receptionists ring patients to remind them of their appointments and then time after time finding similar discrepancies. Today was one such event too many. If more patients vote with their feet maybe this dental group may do something to sort out its atrocious administration problem.
