Very Bad Orthodontic Experience ------------------------------- I did my research on local dentists and was told overall that this practice wasn't great and that a lot of people had left before and mid treatment. Although I went in with caution and things seemed ok at first. However I now understand this. Pros: ------ The receptionists were helpful and friendly but very obviously overworked and busy. I even joked with them about this once. The oral hygiene work was also excellent as was my initial check up. A little pricey for the area but worth it. The Major Con: -------------------- When it came to the Orthodontic work a whole different experience was ahead of me. Everything went quite smoothly up until the day they cancelled my appoint only one hour before claiming the brace was not delivered. Fine, not their fault, could happen. What was not fine was the attitude I received from the Orthodontist (whom shall rename nameless out of respect of privacy). I had to very short phone conversation with her in which I couldn't get a word in and actually referring to it as conversation is probably not accurate at all. She was rude and unhelpful at these points and no plan of progression was suggested and instead she kept saying 'take a refund', 'take a refund'. And remember, I had not even properly spoken by this point. I decided to follow this up in person as I was only around the corner. Reception were helpful but overrun as usual and I finally went to talk to the Orthodontist in person. What followed? Well here's a list: --------------------- not being able to talk, no actual two way conversation, a rude attitude, an arrogant 'I'm doing you a favour' attitude, severe lack of understanding, no bed side manner what so ever and most importantly no actual plan of progression for follow ups. I remained calm and objective and bore this unprofessional behavior. I took the refund and looking back it was probably for the best as I don't trust this dentist AT ALL. I can't tell you to not get this treatment here, nor can I tell you to avoid this practitioner but I'm sat here typing into this review box and I still have spacers throughout my teeth and they hurt.... Guess they forgot.... Make the right decision and if you come across a bad and unprofessional dentist contact the GDC. I will be of course unless you like the 'don't like it, lump it' attitude! Good luck everyone.

A visit to this "so-called" dentist left me flabbergasted. I made an appointment for my OAP mother for a new set of dentures. My mother mentioned that her old dentures (made by another dentist in town) only lasted two months before breaking and she said she wanted a "strong" pair which would last. The quote was £800, however, the dentist refused to make them. He wouldn't look at my mother, wouldn't look in her mouth and kept addressing me by saying "she won't be happy" and "I refuse to make the dentures for her". His attitude beggars belief and we left there totally aghast after five minutes. I still have no idea why he refused to not only make a new set of dentures, but to do business with us. Is it because he knows he isn't capable of providing a good service? It seems so, going by the other reviews. Under no condition should you put yourself in this "dentist's" chair. You will be sorry.

I did not have a very good experience at this practice, I saw the dentist who does implants. He was very rude and did not explain the treatment very well, every time I asked a question he had an attitude and did not want to answer it. He was also very rude to the reception staff and did not treat them with respect. I would not recommend this dentist.

I have had extensive cosmetic surgery done at this practise. The result was not good. The work involved alot of implants. I personally would not recommend this practise or the dentist.

1. I would not recommend this practice because I was x-rayed and told a large number of my teeth were infected and needed to come out. When the hygienist saw the x-ray she said it was only plaque. Thanks to her I kept my teeth. 2. I had a severe allergic reaction to a mouth spray the dentist used. When I telephoned the surgery to ask for the name of the item in order to list the components I was blanked completely by the receptionist. I changed dentists immediately

Disorganised, don't call back with an appt. as they promise to. No orthodontists available, and not very helpful or sympathetic.
