We spent two nights at this pub to go to the Badminton Horse Trials. The pub was friendly and welcoming, with excellent accommodation. The food was locally sourced and cooked to order. A very pleasant experience and we will certainly visit again if in the area. S Lambert, Cornwall

Have just celebrated my father-in-law's 95th Birthday this lunch-time with a meal from the carvery. Delicious food, attentive & friendly staff in a pub with great atmosphere located in a picturesque setting. Top marks all round!

I am no snob, but i could not find any other reason to frequent an other drinking establishment. The reason is in the is in the pudding or the high-standard of food. If you think i am kidding come down and see.

A most excellent place to stay for the weekend, we really lucked out by finding it along a country lane by following brown "Inn" signs from the A4. The hosts were wonderful, the food absolutely FANTASTIC (WAY better than normal pub grub), and they accommodated us vegetarians well. The accommodation was very comfortable, nice spacious rooms. The pub atmosphere was just great too, with locals clearly enjoying this special establishment in their village. Plus, with England beating France in the Rugby World Cup on Saturday evening, there was much to celebrate!
