We selected this location based on the website and were shocked on arrival to find that the hotel was nothing like the images or pictures. The hotel room was covered with a thick layer of dirt all around the room edges. There was damp patches on the wall, the central heating did not work and the room was permantly freezing. We paid a premium price for a guest house that is well below the standard portrayed by the hotel. Check the rooms on arrival and do not leave a credit card as a deposit, unfortunately we left our card details prior to arrival so were stuck with having to pay a premium of £100 per night for a room not worth £50.00. Very disappointed. We emailed the hotel after our visit and they never replied. This is the standard of their customer service

The room was large, with a colour tv .The ensuite was dirty , mould on shower curtain and on the shower ceiling. The sink was dirty . the whole room was dusty ,dust on the phone ,dust on the tops of things. The bedding was clean , but had an unwelcome stain on the bottom sheet. The Hotel is on amain road and guests can be heard coming in and out of the front door, very loud at times.Brekfast wasnt the best I have tasted and we felt like we were rushed !Not a cheap hotel and is advertised as a luxuary place to stay !!very poor value for money !!! I feel the mouldy shower curtain realy could be a health risk !!!! Never staying there again , have been to lakes lots of times and I never had a problem and I have stayed in cheaper places !!!
