Remembering this place of old it was with trepidation that we stopped here (15 of us) for a light bite. Need not have worried - its recent refurb has transformed it beyond belief and, as with all good Inns, it is the kitchen that has been attended to first. Food was good (we are not talking michelin stars but nor was the price), service friendly and impeccable and the TOTAL bill (incl service) was just £150. With its busy road side spot atop a hill and with a saxon/norman church opposite amongst soft undulating surrey hills this place is worth a stop
