Good Points: The room was very good, good clean fresh furnishings. Wonderful that there was a proper hairdryer, [not one of those silly hold the button things].Most of the staff very friendly and professional. Bar staff very good. Bad Points: Staff in the restaurant very poor, so slow and disinterested.Room-a shower hat and flannel would have been good. The whole hotel was far too hot, often very uncomfortable. Spa area appalling. General review: Impressed with the hotel, good value for money, but our treat was to meet for a girly spa weekend. No one told us when booking that the spa area had not been renovated and was a shambles, so it was a bit pointless.

Without doubt the worst hotel room I have ever stayed in including some rough pubs. The bed was awful, the wallpaper was coming of the walls, mould was climbing up the windows, the chair was ripped and the towels were just tat. The bathroom was in a state as well. However the restaurant looked wonderful and the breakfast was good!

This is indeed a 'house-hotel' since there are various lounge areas, indoor and out, where you can relax after a busy day.The food is outstanding!!Their 'early eats' menu for approx. 13pounds,is a delicious meal. The fine-dining dinner menu is simply that; excellent food at fine-dining prices. The staff are eager to meet your needs in any situation.Air conditioning would be great, but in a heat-wave, sleeping with an open window cooled the room considerably. The reception and dining room staffs were friendly and courteous at all times. James, the maitre de, is a pillar of politeness and class. Thanks to him and his staff for making our sat.July 9th family dinner such a pleasant experience. We will definately return.
