My friend, myself and our children went into the Cross Keys in Milngavie,we were all rather excited as we were planing out West Highland Way trip and decided to have something to eat. I orderd the fish and when it came it looked mouthwatering delicious, 1st bite bone ( ah! well it's fish it happens) 2nd bite ANOTHER BONE (spat out whole mouthfull) 3rd bite ANOTHER BONE but this time it stuck in my throat, after retching (rather embarrassing in front of everyone) Decided not to tackle a 4th mouthfull, I spoke to the manager who said he would swap it for something else, I chose the scampy. My friend by this time had finished her soup (which was delicious) so we decided to pop out for a ciggy. As our children sat at our table we made our way outside, to our shock and horror the owner (managers Father) jummped out in front of us and shouting and being absolutely revolting to us and accusing us of leaving without paying, obviously my friend and I were humiliated beyond words and told him to cancel the rest of our order, we would not A: Be spoken to like that and B: Spend money in a place that talks and swears at customers like that. He decided to charge us for all food including boney fish, that was not eaten, food that was canceld. To cut a long story short the Police were called he was given a talking to, we paid for what we actualy had. On the way out We talked to two gents who informed us that the old gent (I use gent loosley) has had numerous complaints. My advice to all visitors to Milngavie and west highland way walkers DO NOT SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED CASH IN THAT ESTABLISHMENT, IF YOU CHOOSE TO IGNORE THIS ADVICE DO NOT ORDED THE FISH!!!!!
