The County Lodge Hotel is not far from breathtaking views of the Helensburgh seafront, our hotel is only a 10 minute drive away from Rhu Marina. If you are planning to visit family or friends from HM Naval Base Clyde then you will have a short 15 minute drive and it will be on your left hand side along the seafront. Loch Lomond National Park is about 30 minutes by car, it is in Balloch and it also near the Loch Lomond retail outlets. The International Loch Lomond Golf Club, where Barclays Scottish Open Championships is played every year is only a short 15-20 minute drive away from where our hotel is situated. Helensburgh - a town of beautiful gardens, fine buildings and broad streets lined with grass verges and flowering trees - it's also the birthplace of John Logic Baird inventor of television An ideal location for Loch Lomond, the Trossachs, and the Clyde Sea Lochs along with routes to the Highlands and Western Isles. Shops and restaurants of interest are in abundance. Excellent centre for sailing, wind surfing, hill walking, bird watching, golfing, sea angling, bowling, tennis, and day tours. The famous West Highland Railway to Oban, Fort William and Mallaig is a must, along with a sail on the Waverley, the world's last seagoing paddle steamer. Loch Lomond and Loch Katrine also offer boat trips.
