Welcome to our Bed & Breakfast accommodation, the Old Chaff Barn. It is a 19th century barn conversion, formerly part of a working watermill set in nearly 2 acres with lovely views over open countryside and within half mile of the main road. Situated on the edge of Upton village just 2 miles from Southwell our Bed & Breakfast accommodation is ideal for Southwell racecourse and Newark antique fair.

Special occasion? there is no need to drive, as we will take you and then pick up from your venue.

The barn was converted by us, Mick & Sue Harrison, in 1995 into a traditional 3 double bedroom cottage with lots of beams, York stone floors, large fire places with wood burning stoves, situated along side the river greet where you can sit on the terrace and listen to the water rushing through the mill and if you are lucky you may spot a kingfisher, failing that there are plenty of ducks to feed, not forgetting the pigmy goats, hens and horses!

Mick & Sue prefer to call their Bed & Breakfast accommodation a 'home-stay', as you will not be sent to your room! You are most welcome to come and share our home with us, arriving and leaving when you are ready. If you would like a lazy morning with a pot of tea in bed and then your breakfast will be served when you are ready.
