The property faces onto the site of the last battle fought on English Soil where members of the McPherson Clan lay buried beneath what is known locally as the rebels tree.
The Hide is on the doorstep of the Lakes and only five minutes away from what we consider to be the finest lake, Lake Ullswater. It provides an ideal base to explore some of Lakelands picturesque villages and indeed the less well known but equally lovely Eden Valley. It is an ideal location for cyclists, climbers, walkers, sailors, and sight seeing. The historic village of Clifton has one of the finest Lakeland Inns in Cumbria serving excellent beers and wines and fine cuisine. It is a couple of staggering minutes away from the hide.
