The courage, humour and sacrifice of those who served in the regiments of Devon and Dorset for over 300 years are brought to life using touch screen computers and creative displays in this modern museum.

Uniforms, medals and weapons on display allow the imagination to recreate the world of the soldiers and their families during times of triumph and hardship, joy and sadness as they served the crown from 1685 to the present day. An added bonus is the view from the battlements of the countryside brought to life in the novels of Thomas Hardy.
