Wing your way over to the Royal Air Force Museum London and soar through the history of aviation from the earliest balloon flights to the latest Eurofighter. If you have ever wondered what it actually feels to soar amongst the clouds or to participate an intense aerial battle wonder no more. Visitors to the Royal Air Force Museum will be able to experience the all thrills and exhilaration of powered flight by entering the Museum's newest exhibit - its 4 Dimensional Theatre.

Also for 2015 visit First World War in the Air which tells the stories of the pioneering men and women who protected our skies from 1914 to 1918. This exhibition can be found in our Grahame-White Building. The Museum also houses a world-class collection of over 100 aircraft, aviation/wartime memorabilia and artefacts, 3D cinema together with an awe inspiring sound and light show that takes you back in time to the Battle of Britain. The Aeronauts Interactive Centre offers hands-on entertainment and education for all ages and includes cockpit controls, co-ordination tests, engine lifting, air speed, drop zone, pilot testing and more.

Other exciting features include archives, film shows, medals and uniforms and an outdoor picnic area. The museum also runs temporary exhibitions, fairs and functions as well outdoor summer events. The on-site museum shop, is packed with models, toys and gift items as well as exclusive magazines, books and videos. There is also a café and licensed restaurant or picnic area to take care of catering needs.

Directions: Easy access from M25. Signposted from M1, A41, A5 and A406 or just a convenient 35 minute journey on the Northern Line from Charing Cross Station.
