As you drive over the millrace and into the paddock, you will enter a little haven of peace. Leave the pressures of your everyday life behind, and enjoy a refreshing stay in the delightful surroundings of The Cornmill.

The present mill was built in the 18th Century, but there are records of working mills around here in the Doomsday Book. The derelict Mill has been remodelled into a Guest House/B&B and the owner's own home. Sensitively converted into two luxurious mews holiday cottages, the old stable block now sleeps two adults in each, with an additional single sofabed in the lounge.

On the ground floor is the large double bedroom and a bathroom with bath and power-shower. On the upper floor is an open-plan living room with a dining area and a kitchenette equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, electric oven and gas hob. One cottage has the option of twin beds or king-size double.

Outside you can relax in the garden, where you can bar-b-que, or stroll through the adjoining paddock. Fancy a spot of fishing? There are brown trout in the River Dove, just waiting to be hooked. There's plenty to do for the energetic - besides walking on the North York Moors, or visiting the coast or the wealth of abbeys, castles and stately homes in the area, your hosts can arrange golf, horse-riding, pottery or painting, or loan you a Cornmill bicycle.

We are sorry we cannot accept pets and are a non-smoking site.
