Newly refurbished and reopened in November 2009, The Crown has been an inn for than 250 years and was originally a medieval hall house in the 14th century. Friendly and helpful staff will ensure that you experience the very best of Sussex welcomes! Low timber beams, log fires and leather sofas will warm you in winter and the paved gardens with olive trees and a wonderful view of the village cricket ground will provide a perfect place to relax in the summer months. The Crown offers excellent food, a fine selection of beers and an extensive wine cellar. Families are welcome. The Crown offers four character letting bedrooms. Amenities include flat screen televisions, coffee/tea making facilities and broadband wireless access. Horsted Keynes is about 5 miles from both Haywards Heath and East Grinstead, with village green, pubs, post office and village store. There are many places of interest in the area, to include Wakehurst Place, Standen House & Gardens, Bluebell Railway, Sheffield Park, Ashurst Forest and Pooh Country.
