Sedlescombe Organic Vineyard, situated just off the B2244 south of Cripps Corner, is England's premier organic vineyard established in 1979. Throughout the summer visitors are welcome to take the self-guided Vineyard and Woodland Nature Trail followed by a wine tasting. The picnic site in the newly planted Millennium Vineyard offers peace and quiet as well as spectacular views across open country all the way to Battle. There is a full range of organic English wines including whites, bubbly and a red available to taste. Fruit wines, fruit juices and farm house ciders are all produced on site at the winery. The shop also carries a selection of some of the finest organic wines from around the world. An entry into the free competition with a case of Sedlescombe wines as first prize is included in the modest entry fee of £ 3.50. Senior Citizens are half price and children are admitted free. Guided tours for groups are available by arrangement.
