Tropical Wings Zoo offers a fantastic day out and is proud to be one of the best interactive zoo attractions in Essex, boasting one of the finest tropical houses in the UK, a miniature oasis where you can experience a tropical feel with free-flying butterflies and birds. Our exciting daily programme of animal encounters including keeper talks, will entertain, educate and introduce you to a vast range of wildlife face to face ranging from minibeasts to meerkats!

There’s fun for all the family – see our wallabies, brush or stroke a goat in our large walkthrough paddock, hold a bug, watch our amazing birds on daily flights or get up close to the lemurs! Get active with the indoor soft play and outdoor activity play areas enjoy the Tractorland and Diggerland rides, there really is something for everyone. Visit Macawbers Café for a light snack, cake or just an ice-cream. Don’t miss the themed weeks during all school holidays with additional activities during these times. We aim to be the best small family zoo in the country!
