Plumber Manor, standing in its own grounds with the Develish stream running along the edge of the lawn, is situated in the heart of Thomas Hardy's Blackmore Vale. It provides a welcome but unstuffy retreat from which to visit the many delights of Dorset including churches, historic houses and the wonderful countryside and coast.

Brian Prideaux Brune's cooking is renowned and much praised in all the good guides, and combined with the wide ranging wine list Plumber provides an ideal place for an away from it all gastronomic holiday.
