Cecily Sumner has been involved with yoga for over 24 years, and is passionate about sharing this gift. She qualified as a British Wheel of Yoga teacher in 1990, studied with Gill Lloyd (personal tutor), Paul Harvey (Founder of Viniyoga) TKV Desikachar, and Kausthub Desikachar. She has attended many courses at the KHYF in Chennai India, Studying, Mantra, Ayurveda, meditation , asana, yoga therapy and the classical yoga texts. On Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays Cecily teaches 8 small classes at her studio in Loxhill. All other times are for individual tuition and yoga therapy. Cecily specialises in working with clients who suffer with ME/CFS, MS., Bad backs/shoulders etc, anxiety, mild depression, and other nervous problems. She teaches the BWY foundation course (for persons wishing to deepen their relationship with yoga or as the first step to teacher training) She has recently qualified with Yoga Journey to become a KHYF (Krishnamacharya Healing Yoga Foundation Chennai India) teacher and therapist.

Cecily has built Samyama Yoga Centre in Sri Lanka and offers Yoga Retreat Holidays in February, July October and December The centre is available to other Yoga teachers who wish to let their students experience yoga in an extra ordinary environment. Yoga has supported and helped her through and over many obstacles. She sees Yoga as a means of continual growth, and a life long commitment.
