Heidi Orr and her team extend a warm invitation to their country house hotel. Knockendarroch House is a twelve bedroom Victorian mansion; set in 1 1/2 acres of gardens; a short stroll from the centre of the picturesque town of Pitlochry. Set in the heart of the stunning Perthshire countryside; its location serves as an ideal gateway to the Scottish Highlands. Knockendarroch boasts an impressive list of accolades including 4 stars from the Scottish Tourist Board and a high percentage rating by the AA as a 2 star hotel with a rosette for food. Knockendarroch is also recommended by Taste of Scotland; Stevenson's ""Scotland's Good Hotel and Food Book""; and by Karen Brown's Guides in the USA; altogether making it one of Scotland's most highly rated small hotels. Guests dine in the elegant restaurant; which offers a range of freshly prepared dishes featuring the best of local produce; complimented by an extensive wine list. For guests attending the theatre; dinner is served from 6pm. The hotel operates a courtesy bus to and from the evening performance; thus relieving guests of theatre parking and timing problems; and allowing the opportunity to enjoy a glass or two of wine with dinner. All bedrooms have scenic views; en-suite facilities; direct-dial telephone; television; radio; hospitality tray and hairdryer. The large premier bedrooms are on the first floor; second floor bedrooms; two of which have small balconies; offer spectacular views.
