The Wharton family has been welcoming guests for over forty years, and the success of the Hotel Riviera is due to our striving for impeccable standards in both accommodation and service. Our policy of continual improvement has resulted not only in rooms and facilities of the highest quality but also in a genuine sense of welcome from a loyal and long-serving staff who have a well deserved reputation for friendliness and excellent service.

All bedrooms are tastefully furnished and individually designed in keeping with the hotel's character, and our programme of continual refurbishment maintains them to the highest standard. All twin, double and single bedrooms have a private bathroom with bath, toilet and shower en suite. As one would expect from a deluxe four star hotel all rooms have a colour television with video link, radio, direct-dial telephone, hairdryer and such thoughtful touches as flowers, bathrobes and complimentary toiletries. The hotel is fully centrally heated throughout the cooler seasons and for your additional comfort the public rooms are air conditioned during the summer months.

We have a proud reputation for fine cuisine. Our Executive Chef and his team prepare discerning menus that combine international dishes with the best English cooking, featuring a selection of fresh local produce with an emphasis on seafood.
