27 Church Street is a pretty 16th Century Grade II listed detached house a few minutes' walk from the centre of this astonishingly beautiful medieval English village. Our two large bed and breakfast rooms are equipped with king-size beds with quality Egyptian cotton bedding, quality furnishings, tea/coffee making facilities, bathrobes, flat screen TV and DVD player. One room is directly adjacent to the bathroom, the other is a few steps along the corridor and has a washbasin within the room.
The large family bathroom is adjacent to the bedroom and offers a clawfoot bath, stripped pine flooring and an oversize shower with limestone tiling and a 9-inch soaker shower head. Although shared, we arrange exclusive use at a specific time to be fitted around your needs.
Breakfast is served in the conservatory or the garden. We offer a continental or cooked breakfast with your choice of eggs, salmon, toast with a selection of local conserves and marmalade, porridge, quality fruit juices, cafetiere coffee, various teas and fresh fruit. Bacon, sausages and eggs come from our village butcher, and bread from our excellent bakery. We buy all our ingredients to order so you have the breakfast you want.
Twenty Seven is a non-smoking house, however an ashtray and seating is provided for smokers in the large landscaped rear garden, which all guests are welcome to use.
