The Hoste Arms is where the Great Inns of Britain first began – and this wonderful inn, overlooking the beautiful Burnham Market Green and close to the wild North Norfolk coast, continues to set the benchmark for hospitality, service and style. Built in 1550 as the manor house of Burnham Westgate, the building served time as a court house, livestock market, art gallery and brothel before welcoming its first guests as an inn in 1651! Today’s guests bask in the country house ambience, from the cosy front bar, panelled dining room and 35 sumptuous bedrooms, to the light filled conservatory, pretty walled garden and stylish Moroccan themed terrace. Jeanne Whittome, Emma Tagg and Andrew McPherson continue in the footsteps of The Hoste’s visionary founder, the late Paul Whittome, in creating the ultimate convivial inn specialising in local, seasonal food and service of the highest standard.
