Cricket St Thomas Wildlife Park and Forde Abbey Gardens are both less than 7 miles distant whilst Yeovil, home to the Fleet Air Arm Museum and also a dry-ski slope, is 12 miles. Montacute House, a magnificent Elizabethan manor in the care of the National Trust, lies within a short drive as do several other interesting houses and gardens. Horse riding, golf, cycle hire, sailing and sea fishing are all available nearby. Village shop and pub serving food in Broadwindsor, 2 miles.
