Prettily tucked away on a quiet rural lane, Sycamores, once a simple country barn, has been lovingly transformed into a warm and welcoming holiday cottage boasting vaulted ceilings and original beams. Set adjacent to the owners' home, it lies a relaxing amble (½ mile) from the sandy beach and a few hundred yards from the island's only National Trust shop and museum, and about a mile from glorious Mottistone Manor and Gardens (also N.T.). The surrounding area is wonderful for walking and cycling and a great array of activities and visitor attractions are easily accessible including a pearl factory and dinosaur farm museum. Pubs serving food and shops are found just over a mile away in Brighstone, a village teeming with old world charm and featuring a church dating from 1190.
