Bird watching, sailing and fishing are enjoyed locally and also cycles available for hire. Betwys-y-Coed's food, craft and outdoor activity shops, cafés, restaurants and train station are just 1½ miles. The Swallow Falls are nearby and mountain railway trips to the top of Snowdon or seaside Porthmadog, castles at Conwy, Beaumaris and Harlech, Anglesey's sandy beaches, Trefriw and Roman Chester are easily accessible.
