17th C Swaledale Inn. Ideally located for walking or touring the dales. Stripped pine furnishes the bar and dining rooms. Our bar and mirror menu were hand crafted by Robert Thompson "the mouse man" of Kilburn's craftsmen. The menu changes daily to reflect the local seasonal produce available. Local cask ales from Theakstons and Black Sheep breweries.

Samples from our menu: Pan-fried mackerel, spiced lentils & spinach, Marinated balsamic chicken, mixed leaves & pickled beetroot, Braised local lamb shank, leek mash, redcurrant & lamb jus, Pan-fried duck breast with duck leg ballotine, sweet potato puree & green peppercorn sauce, Tempura battered vegetables, wild mushroom rice & cumin cream, Yorkshire parkin with apple compote & clotted cream, Chocolate marquise, mascarpone cheese and forest fruits.

We offer 11 en-suite bedrooms with spectacular views. All rooms have been individually designed and decorated and are en-suite, have colour TV, telephone, tea/coffee making facilities.
