Cosmo is in the heart of Edinburgh's stylish New Town - a former Edinburgh classic is now emerging as one of the City's most elegant and exciting new restaurants. Alex Thain's cooking is modern and innovative, with a wide variety of unusual flavours and textures. With the skill you would expect from the winner of this year's Gordon Ramsay scholarship, his dishes and Degustation menu have been critically acclaimed by the most discerning food critics. Alex has a passion for food and has used his creativity to offer a selection of gastronomic delights. Anne and Max Schaeflein have become Restaurant Manager and Head Sommelier after working together at the K Club in Ireland and most recently at Gleneagles. Cosmo provides the perfect atmosphere for corporate lunches or a break from shopping at the George Street Boutiques with its lunch menu. This changes on a fortnightly basis. The Sommeliers team at Cosmo is also continuing to sample and introduce new wines, both by the glass and by the bottle. This Restaurant is not only the place to come for the complete dining experience, it is also the place that you can return to and unwind. The international members of staff joined in from as far as New Zealand, South Africa and all over Europe creating a multi-cultural home for all guests.
