This fine establishment has returned back to traditional family values and is run by the Firbanks, a local family with extensive knowledge of the area having lived here for generations. The four of them along with the help of their very important staff have transformed this fifteen bedroom Inn into a thriving, very popular retreat from the hustle and bustle of every day life. You can chat with the locals who love to tell stories of past and present or simply hide yourself away in the cosy bar listerning to good music, with a selection of cask ales or fine wines to choose from. If you become a little peckish the home cooked food in this Inn offers excellent value for money, with a dish to suit everyones tastes. The 'big plate' carvery at The Fox & Hounds is renowned in the local area for its superb quality, with a traditional selection of freshly prepared vegetables, homemade Yorkshire puddings and joints of meat including turkey, roast beef and pork (you will go a long way to see joints as big as theirs being served!). The Inn boasts two function rooms/ restaurants both seating up to eighty guests in each room, and has an enviable reputation for it's weddings. Just the place for a simple, relaxed informal venue which results in the most perfect wedding day! Offering quality accommodation in a family friendly atmosphere this Inn appears to have it all. With its selection of different designed bedrooms and en-suites with 'French tubs' (it's worth a visit just to see one, there always a talking point at breakfast!).This place is not just a Inn, it's a family you are being welcomed in to where the staff always have time to talk to you and make you feel at ease. The Fox & Hounds strive to train all of their staff in disability awareness training 'Access to All' along with 'Welcome to Excellence' and are more than happy to help any customer who requires a little extra special assistance.
