Wanslea is an AA 4 star accredited guest house on the south side or Ambleside. We offer all en-suite accommodation and luxury rooms are available with spa bathrooms. We have a lounge exclusivly for guests. We are 6 to 7 minutes walk from the centre of the town and 3 to 4 minutes from the lake. Wanslea has been featured in the 'Times' and is recommended by the Lake District Guide. We are also in the AA 'Best Bed and Breakfasts in the UK Guide 2008'. Ambleside is in the heart of the English Lake District and is famous for some of the most beautiful scenery in the UK. There are many lakes to explore. Windermere offers many types of boat trip and is only a few hundred yards away from Wanslea. Fell walks start close by and can be as energetic or easy as you like. The Distric is also famous for the Lakes Poets and most of the houses they used to live in are open to the public.
