Beautiful sandy beaches and a clean, sparkling sea? Lots of entertainment for all the family? Great nights out? Perhaps you like a place with character and charm, or somewhere with lots more to explore when you need a change from the beach. Two award-winning beaches of golden sands stretch out on either side of a historic harbour bustling with activity. Beautifully designed promenades provide everything from fun-fairs to quiet places where you can sit and watch the world go by. Shops, attractions, restaurants and the historic Old Town of Bridlington offer a fascinating contrast to life on the beach. Further afield are the picturesque villages and scenery of the Yorkshire Wolds, the neighbouring resorts of Hornsea and Withernsea, and the spectacular Heritage Coastline. Some of Bridlington's many attractions are the beautiful beaches, newly refurbished Bridlington Spa and the Bridlington Eye which is the first observation wheel of its kind to be located anywhere along the east coast of England and is a must see for stunning views stretching up to Flamborough Head, the Lighthouse and along the east coast. In addition is Sewerby Hall which houses beautiful gardens, tea rooms, zoo and a museum which displays regional history and the Yorkshire Showcase Gallery which has a varied exhibition programme of regional contemporary arts and crafts. Bridlington also has to offer one of England's leading monasteries, the Bridlington Priory which was established in 1113AD. Sewerby also accommodates one of the finest model villages in the country, with over 200 individual and unique buildings, including a Castle, ruined Abbey, working Harbour and Train.
