Lovers of art, admirers of design: Boundary welcomes you. Located amidst the plentiful galleries and studios of London’s famed Shoreditch quarter, Boundary is a celebration of fine art and fine taste for the sophisticated traveller. Its twelve elegantly quirky guest rooms are spread across two floors, each inspired by a legendary designer or design movement, from Young British to Bauhaus, Eileen Gray to Le Corbusier. Above, five duplex suites range from Modern Dickensian to Modern Chinoiserie, featuring private outdoor balconies and impressive urban views. In-room amenities include large flat-screen LCD TVs, wireless Internet, handmade UK super King Savoir beds, high-quality English bedding by Reed Family Linens, goose feather and down pillows and duvets, merino wool blankets, extensive acoustic sound-proofing and large wardrobes. Bathrooms are individually styled, some equipped with classic Czech & Speake fittings, others with modern Japanese TOTO combined bidet lavatories; all include REN skincare products, heated floors and power showers. Boundary gastronomy is just as expertly curated as Boundary design. The hotel’s main restaurant pays homage to the timeless recipes and traditions of England and France: a daily-changing selection of charcuterie and cheeses is served from the dining room trolley, roast leg of lamb and rib of beef are presented for Sunday lunch, and various English game birds are offered according to season. The Boundary Bar’s wine list includes over 500 artisan growers and aristocratic estates from around the world. Fresh, exciting and seasonally appropriate, it offers an extensive selection of wines by the glass, pot lyonnais and large-format bottles. Upstairs, a separate kitchen and bar serve the Boundary Rooftop, a 48-seat grill restaurant with open fireplace set in the midst of a stunning garden by Nicola Lesbirel with 360 degree views over London. The hotel is also home to Albion, a ground-floor bakery, cafe and speciality British food shop with pavement seating directly on Boundary Street.
