Banstead is a small town that’s delightfully positioned on the North Downs in the county of Surrey, the surrounding area is an enticing tapestry of greens with Banstead Downs, and the Millennium Trail which journeys through Downland, Meadows, and Parkland on a journey of discovery as it joins the Pilgrims Way. There is an interesting mix of buildings from the church of All Saints which dates back to the 12th Century and has graced many an Artists page, The Old Well which has existed since Medieval times where the ornate cover protects all who visit today from the 300’ drop, to the mix of shops available to lighten any purse. Or perhaps a trip to Morden Hall Park is more for you as it will unveil picturesque surroundings that cover 125 acres of historic parkland, with meadows and a meandering river, where a walk along the river bank will uncover two Watermills that were used to grind tobacco into snuff , the adventure continues with other buildings to explore and a riverside café…………….or if a little excitement is wished for, then Chessington World of Adventures is close at hand with breath stealing rides and magical encounters of the animal kind, or possibly the Tudor masterpiece of Hampton Court Palace is more for you, where intrigue, history and splendour is only part of the story waiting to be told…..
