Pittenweem is a delightful secluded fishing village on the East Neuk Coast, in Fife Scotland, home to fifteen hundred people. Linking far back into history when the ancient Christians settled here, white houses capped with red tiles, and narrow winding lanes and alleyways unveil secrets at every turn, the ancient harbour sees a spectrum of brightly hulled fishing boats reflected on the sea, step over the Artists as they capture their next masterpiece, or walk down the high Street to see the clutch of Artists studios and galleries. For those who yearn for something different there's always the chance to see the Fish Market in full swing, or perhaps take a look at St Fillan's Cave, with it's Holy Well and chamber complete with alter. For architecture on a grander scale there's Kellie Castle which would grace any fairy story, with it's impressive rooms and chapel dating back to 1360. If museums are enjoyed then perhaps the Bell Pettigrew Museum will please, or possibly the Scottish Fisheries Museum will be first choice. Or maybe dream of a hole in one and tee off at St Andrews. For mystery and intrigue and all things fishy The Sea Life Centre will prove a shimmering success, or journey deep underground at Scotland's Secret Bunker, an experience never forgotten.
