Born 1936 - English explorer and youth leader.

Educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst. Taken part in over 40 expeditions. Led Blue Nile, British Trans-Americas and Zaire River expeditions. Led two major youth projects now established as Raleigh International. Written several books. Awarded OBE in 1996.
